LATE BIQI selection information:
It is a late-maturing selection chosen from biqi from the Yangmei Analysis Institute of Yuyao Metropolis and the Horticulture Institute of Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences. It was named by Mr. Wu Gengmin, a well-known professional at Zhejiang Agricultural College. The bushes are sturdy, the branches and leaves are lush, the crown is round-headed, the leaves are massive, 9.3 cm lengthy, 2.7 cm vast, and the leaves are thick inexperienced. The fruit floor is purple-black, wealthy in luster, shiny and delightful. Robust sweetness, good style, dense flesh, good storage and transportation. The typical weight of single fruit is 13 grams, soluble solids is 13.9%, and 95.6% flesh. It’s glorious high quality for contemporary consuming and processing. It has nice yield with constant high quality. Ripens on the finish of June and the start of July, which might lengthen the harvest season with biqi. It has sturdy drought tolerance and could be planted within the mountains at larger altitudes to take full benefit of its late maturing. It is among the finest varieties for contemporary consuming and processing. It’s immune to excessive temperatures and droughts .
