A brand new format, who’s this?
2023 marks the third 12 months of the Biking Esports World Championship. And this 12 months, the 1-hour, 15-minute contest has a brand new format. Racers will compete in three separate quick occasions: The Punch, The Climb, and The Podium.
The Punch begins with 100 riders in every gender racing over 13.8km of rolling terrain. The highest 30 in every group transfer on to The Climb — a brief however spicy 8.5km jaunt with 162m of vert. The highest ten riders within the males’s and girls’s teams advance to the ultimate occasion: The Podium.
