Nathalie Issa – The Swimmer

On this episode I interview Nathalie Issa, the star of the Netflix movie The Swimmers.
Nathalie performs the a part of Yusra Mardini who’s coaching to be an Olympian swimmer in Syria when she has to flee the coutry together with her sister and cousin. What follows (on this true story) is their journey as refugees which incorporates swimming a sinking boat of fellow refugees to security within the sea.
The movie is outstanding in the way in which that it humanises refugees and Nathalie’s efficiency is breathtaking.
